Baroque period (9)

5-Women wore Gone's and decolletage.

-Men wore elegant clothes that showed wether they were rich or not.

-Most people avoided bathing because they thought water was bad for the skin.

-Women wore high heels.

-Purses and pouches were used by men and women throughtout the century.

The Renaissance (8)

5-women wore a soft, billowing version of the houppelande
-Men wore bright colors of clothing

Scarves, handkerchiefs, and veils were made from thin silk, chiffon, and crepe.

-Shoes were made out of leather, cloth, and silk
-Florence was the center of jewelry.

History (7) The middle ages

5-Throught the middle ages women borrowed men's clothing styles gradually adapting their shapes to suit the female form.
-Men wore a few stables, ganache, berigualt etc.
-Gold was the material worked with most frequently that was used for bracelets, necklaces, and rings.
-A shoe with a pointed toe called the poulaine was used in those times.-


4-How did women get the idea to borrow men's clothing styles.
-Did men get their styles from other centuries?
-Did men wore a lot of make-up?
